About me

Ever since I did ceramics for Art A-Level (way back in the day), I've loved ceramics and pottery.  Having reached my ripe old age after a corporate career in news & media, I've come back to one of my creative passions (alongside being a management consultant....)

I throw all kinds of pottery on the wheel - everything from plates to jugs, with bowls and even teapots in between.

This rebirth started with the impulse that after a career in digital media and tech, I wanted to get back to analogue. You can’t get much more analogue than throwing vessels out of mud which you can eat soul food out of.

Everything is made to order, which means you get to choose the size, shape and even glazing options.

No two pieces are identical - items in the same category are approximately the same size and shape (eg. plates and bowls will stack), but just like us humans we all have our small foibles.  Perfectly imperfect, or imperfectly perfect, whichever way you want to look at it.

All my pieces are food and dishwasher safe.  They're not for cooking on the stove or in the oven, but they'll handle a short burst in the microwave to warm up a coffee or heat some plates for lunch.

Talk to me about what you'd like, and I'd love to make it for you.
